1. Using US phone number with US Mobile carrier:
- native roaming: only applicable with annual plan
- to receive OTP: via wifi calling
- to activate the line or transfer to a new device: the device needs to be in the coverage area
2. Tello:
esim can be activated abroad. Requirements:
– after placing order for an esim, Tello will send a qr => using a supported smartphone to scan qr and add Tello plan to the phone.
– to enable “wifi calling” option in Tello plan. This step can be tricky. If facing the error “to enablr wifi calling, contact to a cartier” => try below solutions:
+ using US vpn => setting => enable “wifi calling” option
+ reset network settings in settings.
